Privacy Policy

Salon Gier App is an offline companion for board game nights — a game picker wheel, score tracker, dice roller, turn timer, and collection manager, all running on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what happens with your information when you use the app, and it covers both the Salon Gier App mobile application ("App") and its companion website at gameboard2274.com. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Your Choices and Controls

We want you to feel in charge of your data. Here's what you can do at any time, right from your device:

• Reset your advertising ID — open Android Settings › Google › Ads to reset it or opt out of personalized ads entirely.
• Clear your anonymous identifier and all local game data — clear the app's data from Android settings, or use the "Delete User Data" button on the App's Settings screen, or simply uninstall the App.
• Withdraw privacy consent — uninstall the App. Your consent is stored only on your device and is not sent anywhere.
• Request information about data associated with you by emailing us at the address in the Contact section.

Information We Handle

Automatically Collected Information

When you first open the App, a few basic pieces of information are collected so the App can work and so we can understand how players discover it:

• Anonymous identifier. The App generates a random anonymous identifier the first time it launches. It lives on your device and isn't tied to your name, email, phone number, or any account. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App removes it.
• Device language and region. The App reads your device's language and region settings so it can display content in a way that matches your device.
• Google Advertising ID. The App collects the advertising identifier provided by Google Play Services. This is used for marketing attribution (to understand where new installs come from) and nothing else. You can reset it or opt out of personalized advertising in Android Settings › Google › Ads.
• Attribution details. Information about how you arrived at the App — for example, whether the install came from an ad campaign, an organic listing, or a referral link — is collected to measure the performance of our marketing.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, health data, or any other sensitive personal information.

Built-in Browser

The App includes a small built-in browser used to display this Privacy Policy and the Support page directly inside the App. The built-in browser itself does not collect any data beyond what's described above, but please note that websites loaded in it behave like any normal web browser: they may set cookies (including third-party cookies) and store small amounts of data locally (local storage). You can clear all of that by clearing the App's data in your Android settings.

Support and Bug Reports

The App's Support page opens a contact form inside the built-in browser. If (and only if) you decide to send us a message, you can provide:

• Your name and email address
• A description of your question or the issue you ran into
• An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, document, or video) through your device's file picker

This information is only submitted when you choose to send a support request, and we use it solely to reply to you and fix the issue you reported. The App itself doesn't access your camera — any photo or video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app. The file picker is handled by your device, so no file leaves your device until you actually send the form.

Game Data Stored on Your Device

Salon Gier App is an offline app at heart. Your game collection, session history, player profiles, scores, dice rolls, timer settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device (in an on-device SQLite database and a small preferences file). This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us or to any third party. You can wipe it at any time from the App's Settings screen ("Delete User Data") or by clearing the App's data in Android settings.

How We Use This Information

The short version: to make the App work and to understand how players find it. More specifically:

• Keep the App running (anonymous identifier, language/region)
• Measure where new installs come from so we can decide where to promote the App (advertising ID, attribution details)
• Reply to your support messages and fix reported bugs (information you send through the contact form)

We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we do not use your information to make decisions about you through automated processing.

Third-Party Services

To keep the App small and focused, we use a couple of trusted providers for specific tasks. They act as our service providers and are bound by their own privacy terms:

• AppsFlyer — handles install attribution. The App shares your advertising ID, anonymous identifier, and attribution details with AppsFlyer. As part of its standard operation, AppsFlyer also collects additional device information (such as IP address, device model, operating system version, and an install referrer). • Google Play Services — provides the advertising ID described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the providers listed above for the purposes described here.

Data Security

Network traffic between the App and our service providers uses HTTPS by default. Your on-device game data stays on your device and is protected by your device's own security features (PIN, biometrics, sandboxing between apps). No system is ever 100% secure, but we only collect what we actually need, which keeps the risk low.

Data Retention

• Anonymous identifier and on-device game data — kept on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
• Advertising ID and attribution details — retained by AppsFlyer and Google under their own retention policies. Resetting your advertising ID in Android settings cuts the link to the previous one.
• Support messages — kept only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or anonymised.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through the support form, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature or change a service provider. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and, for meaningful changes, we'll let you know through the App. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
